Bruno Brunod

Working as a stonemason and farmer, Bruno was a latecomer to running. Discovering his talent after a brief spell as a competitive cyclist, he was twice world champion of the Skyrunning series and set a speed record on the Matterhorn
in 1995 of 3 hours 14 mins 44 secs.

Bruno disappeared from competitive racing after being part of a heavily mediatised Everest expedition.
